Photoshop Kathukalam Vaanga - II :)

This is for those who ask me "why did u take ECE da?"....I was wondering myself that i have spent one tenth of my life in electronics and communication.Seems to be interesting and challenging to spend 3-4 years with so called the best brains of tamil nadu(including me :) ) This has made me to think different,enjoy myself in doing things that are beyond the education system.Of course,for everyone...These thoughts just arised when i was designing a card.And i came up with a good logo.









I have overlapped a white circle with an opacity of 20 percent


Cut off some part of the white circle.This effect is used in many modern logos such as windows vista...


And finally the reflection effect...my favorite one.It's simple to do
1.create another copy of the image whose reflection image has to be obtained.
2.Invert that image(vertically)
3.Set the opacity to around 25 percent
4.Use the eraser tool for further smoothening



It's simple.clean and good looking.I just wanted to keep some name for this logo.See there is some electronics stuff in the design, so i named it as " The symbol of Vetti Velai". :) Happy reading.

It's one of the magnificient ads in the recent times.The ad starts with a man,Rahul K arriving at the airport and a huge group of characters is welcoming him with a bang! Ballet Dancers,kathakali dancers,cartoon characters,eskimos,unnoticingly a Vuper man stands near the ballet dancers(yeah check it out :) ),WWF characters,bharathanaatium dancers and the list goes on.The Rock band adrenalizes the action.Actor Sudha Chandran is in the soap opera genre;Raju Srivastav is in his usual role of a comedian;VJ Ranvijay Singh is in his Youth icon style and the action is stolen by the rich pair Madhavan& Vidya Balan,Maddy calls an extravagant Benz car with the typical indian whistle and the couple accompany Rahul in the car and a sign of relief is shown in his face.Then Zaheer,Gamphir and some others representing sports other than cricket welcome him into the lift.Then its the time for the sizzling Kareena to carry on the action.The Almighty ARR drive our nerves with his airtel tune and Saif rocks with the new rocking version of the Airtel tune,this one is the best of all. .

Certainly Airtel will have an edge over Big Dth with thi$ Ad.

My first print ad! Photoshop Kathukalam Vaanga :)

Well! This is a poster designed by me for a print ad competition.The topic given was "Space Tourism". For those who are very much interested in learning photoshop,here is a small tutorial.

Do it yourself! It's your first ad design :)

1) First create a black background.

This is done using the PAINT BUCKET TOOL.

2)Then a moon pic is inserted.

Adjust the brightness and contrast of this pic.

For this Image-->Adjustments-->Brightness/Contrast

3) Then an earth picture is taken and placed in the top left corner.

4) Then add some stars...

5)Then draw a rectangular black bar (in the bottom) and set its opacity as 70%

6)Then type the details that have to be put up.I have used CALIBRI font here.

7) Then some dancing people pics are taken from this pic and inserted.

8) And I leave the logo for you to work out.Its pretty simple.
